I think that mom and I did a pretty good job of planning our days and in particular we tried to plan something a little bit more low key after a big day (like at Magic Kingdom). That way, if nothing else, Liam at least got to nap in his crib once every other day (better than nothing) and we all got a little bit of a break.
So on this day we spent the morning at I-fly. This was my mom's idea and it turned out to be a pretty good one! Basically I-fly is a giant, powerful air tunnel. You take a little class before and learn how to "fly" in the air tunnel. An instructor goes in with you and helps you make adjustments as you go and the force of the air allows you to actually fly in the tunnel...it's pretty crazy!
Eli was the first one to go and as soon as he entered the tunnel I could tell he was freaking out a bit...his legs were peddling fast like he was swimming and I didn't think he was going to make it through his whole turn. But our instructor was great with him and helped him figure it out and by the end he was all smiles!
The first set of pictures were taken by the people at I-fly. These pictures were taken by my parents...they aren't as clear because they were taken through the glass of the air tunnel, but they are still fun!
Next up was Lily...she was a pro from the beginning...seriously I think that this came the easiest for her out of all of us and she loved it!
Joe was next...
And then me...
Lovely what the force of the air is doing to my face!:) And do you see my hair whipping? I had to wash it 3 times to get the knots out! It was actually quite a bit of fun and a very unique experience!
After we each had a turn we all got to go again (well, most of us)! During this second turn the instructor briefly grabbed Eli and Lily (during each of their turns), held onto them, and flew up high into the tunnel out of sight. It was pretty awesome!
So awesome that when it came time for the last turn (mine) Eli pretty much begged me to have another turn so I let him and Lily each have another shorter turn (to equal mine). What a fun time for our family! And in case you are wondering, my parents and Liam were watching from the other side of the tunnel...they decided to be spectators and babysitters during this one!
Then after lunch and a nap and some down time at the condo we went back to Downtown Disney and had dinner at the T-Rex restaurant!
This place was pretty amazing complete with a rain forest, ice cave (which changed colors), volcano area, sea creatures, and dinosaurs everywhere! This was our favorite place to eat the whole vacation!
And since we were already in the area we went back to the Lego Store to play a little and show Grammy the
huge Lego creatures!
And a picture of Liam just to prove that he was indeed with us that day!
Wow, for a more low key day we sure did manage to squeeze in a lot of fun!
