On The Banks Of The Poudre

A few days before we left Colorado we spent one last afternoon with my friend Sarah and her family. For weeks we had planned on camping overnight in Wyoming, but when the day grew closer I think both of our families were worn out (and both anticipating cross country trips a few days later)! So, while it may not have been camping in Wyoming we did have a fun afternoon playing on the banks of the Poudre River. The guys got to go rock climbing in the morning and then joined us all for a picnic lunch. It doesn't take much more than rocks and water for the kids to be happy and they occupied themselves well building a water damm and creating a store (selling various treats made of rocks). We had such fun with Sarah and her family this summer!
