I snapped this picture the other day in our kitchen and it struck me how well this one picture represents life for us right now.
Faith- Lately God has really been teaching me what it means to surrender and have faith.
And it's my hope that that faith would be at the center of everything else.
And then there are these two sweet little vases that I got in Bar Harbor this summer. And for the last month there has been a constant rotation of sweet little flowers to fill them- picked by Lily for "Mama." She brings me flowers all the time- quite often they are just dandelions, but she finds so much joy in bringing them to me and thus I can't help but to also love them and proudly display them in the kitchen window.
And then there is the medicine on the right side- medicine for Joe because he recently hurt his back and neck. And some children's medicine as well because both kids have been trying to kick this nasty little cold for what seems like weeks. My poor runny-nosed little babies.
And to top it all off is the paintbrush. This one happens to be here because I just finished painting a sweet dress-up organizer that Joe built for Lily's room (more to come on that soon). But really we almost always have a project in the works (or at least one that should be in the works, or one that is half finished)!
And that's our life these days summed up by what you might find on our kitchen windowsill.
