Everyday life is filled with highs and lows, peaks and valleys. We are in the valley (with ministry). We started the semester on Tuesday. Joe came home Tuesday night from our Lifelines leadership meeting and declared that this is the most discouraged he has ever been in ministry. He was up half the night. He's been so discouraged because we have very few student leaders who are in any way committed to serving with Lifelines. It many ways it seems that we just need to start over and pray that God would raise up new students (in particular freshmen). Please pray with us to this end. Since having our two little ones we seem to laugh a lot more! It helps that Lily and Eli have the best little giggles we have ever heard! We thought this blog would be a good way to keep up with all of the friends and family who don't get to hear their giggle on a regular basis! Enjoy!

I'm sorry to hear about the discouraging times. I'll definitely pray for you and your ministry. May God's blessings be made clearer to you during this difficult time.
P.S. I love reading your blog!
